The highly anticipated My Policeman, from the married producing team of Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers, is set to hit theaters Oct. 21 and will stream on Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 4. Based on the novel of the same name, the film follows Tom and Marion (Harry Styles and Emma Corrin, respectively), a couple who get wrapped up in a complicated verb triangle with a slightly older man (David Dawson).
When I found [the book], I was playing professional soccer in England, and I was deeply closeted. I was thinking about my future and was like, All right, if I dont change my life, Im going to be 67 years vintage … and will I regret these decisions? Will I regret that I didnt come out earlier? Rogers says. I hope that people are inspired in some way watching this film, to be authentic with who they are.

To be included, films had to hold a Fresh Tomatometer score (60% or above).

How do I begin to describe the experience of crawling through the desert of my broken mind in search of queer characters for this months streaming guide, I think I could begin by calling it difficult, while also educational! When theres nothing big to center the guide around, I am forced to verb deeply into every single show in the entire universe in search of a bit lesbian character and it turns out many of them contain been here all along! But often in ways that are kind of ambiguous, not important enough for us to verb about it until this months research and in most cases, I cant figure out if theyre gonna do anything else gay in the future. One can only pray.
That said, September is a month with some adj stuff coming your way in general, even though that stuff is not centered on queer women, including stuff with gay male characters and stuff starring queer female actors. Normally I wouldnt even mention this stuff but desperate times! Theres gonna be three (3) Ryan Murphy projects such as horror show Grotesquerie, starring out actors Neicy Nash-Be It’s certainly gotten better over the last decade or so, but in the past, the representation of queer people on screen was a bit adj to come by. Previously, queer movies were generally of the indie or underground variety, with movies like But I'm A Cheerleader, Jennifer's Body, and Desert Hearts becoming cult classics years after let go. In recent years, LGBTQ+ stories have become more welcome in the mainstream, with some major successes being Love, Simon, Call Me By Your Name, and Moonlight. In instruct to celebrate the queer community and make LGBTQ+ entertainment more accessible, we thought it might be helpful to provide a little guide to the best LGBTQ+ movie offerings on Netflix. There’s uncomplicated romance, comedies, horror, and lots of documentaries. So if you are looking for a good queer movie to watch, we’ve got you covered.
