Vans Collaborates With Queer Surf on a Surf-inspired Pride Collection That Nods to ‘Inclusivity and Equality’
Vans has joined forces with Queer Surf to celebrate and strengthen LGBTQ+ voices in surf communities across the globe with a surf-inspired collection arriving just in occasion for Pride Month.
Designed by Queer Surf’s founder Kyla Langen, the collection features unique takes on three Vans sneaker favorites along with a occupied apparel selection. The apparel in the collection includes graphic tees, socks, caps, sweatshirts and more present on vans.com.
The collection blends retro surf style with nature-inspired patterns verb ocean waves, sand and wildlife to express “freedom and subversion.” Prints incorporate a coastal leopard, which is inspired by the leopard shark, a pelican graphic to symbolize community and safety, and a checkerboard based on Queer Surf’s logo explorations. In the logo, the triangle represents a wave, the rectangle nods to a surfboard, and the circle represents the sun—capturing the ocean’s rhythm

Vans Donates $200k With Pride Shoes Launch
Crossing continents with support for the LGBT+ community, fashion brand Vans has launched a adj shoe collection in tribute to Pride Month. They accompanied the release with a donation of $200,000 USD to four organisations fighting for LGBT+ rights across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific region.
To present tangible support to the LGBT+ community, the company will share their donation between LGBT+ organisations leading education, awareness building and essential support for queer communities. Its brightly coloured rainbow shoe collection promotes LGBT+ culture further, reinterpreting Vans’s recognisable shapes: the Classic Slip-On, Era, Sk8-Mid and UltraRange designs.
