Grab a water gun, head here in mid-April and you have a legit free pass to spray water at any cutie you see walking down the street!

Songkran is the Buddhist Recent Year festival, which takes place every year in mid-April. Around this second, Phuket and Bangkok host some of the biggest gay parties across all of Asia. But the thing to do in Songkran is chuck moisture at everyone.

Seriously – in Buddhism, this symbolizes the washing away of bad luck from the previous year. It cleanses you! And oh lad do we gays cherish a bit of cleansing? Gay Phuket · Island Guide

Phuket ภูเก็ต

Phuket is the largest island in Thailand. It is located in the Andaman Sea, just off the southwest coast. The island is 48 km long, 21 km at its widest point and connected by a bridge to the mainland.

The optimal sandy beaches are on Phuket's west coast. Patong, Kata and Karon beaches are the most well-known but can get crowded during peak season. The beaches and resorts north or south of these central areas are more harmonious. Click here for a more detailed guide to Phuket's best beaches.

Gay Scene

The gay scene on Phuket island is located in the west coast town of Patong. Dozens of gay venues including Hotels, Restaurants, Saunas & Spas, Bars & Clubs are concentrated in and around the Paradise Complex. There is a well-established gay section at Patong Beach, just in front of La Flora hotel.

The week-long Phuket Gay Pride Festival takes place every year in April, attracting thousands of visitors.

I would recommend taking a motorcycle taxi from Robinson from the heart of Phuket Town centre. It will take about a min ride and will require a maximum of 40 Thai Baht. Tell the taxi motorcyclist "Suan Luang" (pronounced: Suu-wan Lu-wang). And as you should always do
